Your blog gave us the confidence that we’re on the right track, we already rolled out our own for SQL updates and will do the same for SP objects then.

I left adesso about a year ago, so I cannot speak for them now, but that’s the latest position I heard.

Nevertheless I would like to encourage you to follow this path, even if you have to implement it on your own. It’s not that hard once you get a grip on the mental model behind it. I hope my postings can help in this aspect.

My team and I have a similar requirement for managing in-place structure updates today for SP sites we’ve been automating creation by code (very few declarative xml). We are seeking existing projects/implementations on this need, but I’m afraid it is not very common topic online. Did you decide what to do with yours?

Then they and everyone else will have a new market. Moore’s law says we aren’t far away from that 2020 maybe.

my employer is still reluctant to decide whether we publish the libraries or not. I have forwarded your request and hope that it accelerates the process. In the mean time, I would be glad to elaborate on any details of your interest.

Best regards

I found your blog when planning some DI and ORM layers to our SharePoint libraries, and I would be very interested to see your solutions! We’re working on a DLR scripting solution for SharePoint, trying to wrangle some testing into SP etc., and these kind of approaches seem to be almost missing in the SharePoint world, so your libraries would be an awesome contribution (we have released a trimmed down version of some of our older SharePoint libraries with IronPython scripting as opensource, Navertica SPTools).

Anyway, thanks for the articles and have a great day.

Jaromír “Kerray” Matýšek
